Eat delicious desserts and sip some amazing coffee on this leisurely ride around the local neighborhoods. You'll be riding through some world famous (ok, maybe not the world, but at least San Diego) landmarks. Plus, I heard coffee clears out the bowels. And there are no calories on vacation.
This is an 85 mile ride that takes you through beach cities, out to a shady, swervy two-lane road through horse country. It opens up into a hilly, twisty, lightly used four lane highway to Lake Hodges. We can stop for pictures and some stretching there. Then a quick jaunt through Escondido into the Elfin Forest. This is another shady, twisty two-lane road of merriment. The scenery is stunning and the myths are plentiful. We will wind through some of San Diego's farming communities back to the coast, stop for lunch in Encinitas, then back down the coast, up over Mt. Soledad and finally to Portuguese Hall. This ride is for experienced riders. Speeds up to 65mph and lots of twists and turns.
